About PFS
Personal Financial Stage
Replace Financial Confusion
with Financial Clarity.
Built by Quant Finance Lab
Personal Financial Stage (PFS) is an education-first Financial Clarity Platform.
We believe people don't make poor financial decisions because they lack financial products — they make them because they lack clarity.
PFS exists to help every individual understand where they stand before deciding where they wish to go.
✦ Our Vision
To build the world's most trusted Financial Clarity Ecosystem where every individual understands their Personal Financial Stage before making any financial decision. We are not trying to replace financial products — we are building the foundation upon which every financial decision should begin. With clarity.
◆ Our Mission
Personal Financial Stage exists to help individuals:
Understand where they currently stand.
Recognise what truly matters.
Prepare before making important financial decisions.
Connect with the right professionals when required.
Continue improving throughout their financial journey.
More about PFS — tap to expand
Why We Exist
PFS is not trying to create more investors. It is not trying to create more traders. It is not trying to create more insurance buyers. It is not trying to create more borrowers.

PFS is trying to create better financial decision-makers. A financially aware individual naturally makes better choices. Better decisions create better outcomes. Better outcomes improve lives.
The Future We Imagine
We imagine a future where asking “What should I buy?” is no longer the first financial question. Instead, people first ask, “Am I actually ready for this decision?”

That single shift has the potential to transform financial decision-making across generations.
Financial Clarity For Everyone
Financial clarity should not depend upon income, education, profession, location, age, or social status. Every individual deserves the opportunity to understand their financial position before making important financial decisions. PFS exists to democratise that understanding.
Our Philosophy
Technology should prepare. Professionals should guide. Individuals should remain empowered. PFS believes the strongest financial ecosystem is one where all three work together.
Success For PFS
Success is not measured only by downloads, users, revenue, platform traffic, or business growth.

True success occurs when an individual avoids a poor financial decision because they first understood their Financial Stage. When a professional receives a better-prepared client. When a family gains confidence about their financial future. When financial conversations become more transparent.
Quant Finance Lab
Personal Financial Stage is only the beginning. Quant Finance Lab envisions an ecosystem of products that simplify finance through research, technology, behavioural understanding, transparency, artificial intelligence, and education.

Every future product shares one common objective: helping people make better financial decisions through greater understanding.
Founder Principle
The greatest financial innovation is not a new investment product. It is helping an individual understand where they stand before deciding where they wish to go.

FAQ
PFS · QFL
Is this investment advice?
No. PFS is financial category education, not product advice. It helps you understand where you stand, not what to buy.
Is my data shared with anyone?
Not by default. Your data is never sold, and never shared with any advertiser or third-party partner. The one exception is entirely your choice: if you decide to connect with an adviser, an anonymous snapshot of your profile is shared with that specific adviser so they can decide whether to accept you - your contact details stay hidden until you both consent to reveal them.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, at any time. Just email us and request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Do I need an account to start?
No account is needed to begin your assessment. You can create one later if you want to save your results.
Is it free?
Yes, your first PFS analysis is free.
Does PFS recommend or sell any product?
No. PFS has no product to sell, no fund to push, and no commission to earn. It has zero financial interest in your decisions.
How accurate is my PFS result?
Your PFS assessment is only as accurate as the information you provide. It's built around your actual numbers, not a generic questionnaire.
Can I talk to a financial professional through PFS?
Yes. You can consult any registered financial professional whenever needed, anonymously, through the platform.
Who built PFS?
PFS is built and run by a solo founder at Quant Finance Lab (QFL), as an education-first tool, free of sales pressure and product bias.
Can advisers or institutions join PFS?
Yes. Registered financial professionals and institutions can sign in or register through the Adviser Portal in the menu.
Still have a question?
Reach out for general questions, account or data deletion requests, or billing issues. PFS is run by a solo founder, so please allow some time for a reply.

Before you begin
Six things PFS is - and is not · Quant Finance Lab
1
Educational tool only.
PFS provides financial literacy mapping and category education — not investment advice or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument.
2
PFS is a financial education platform - not a regulated adviser.
Quant Finance Lab is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, or Distributor, and does not itself provide investment, tax, loan, insurance, or any other advisory service. PFS connects users with independent, verified financial professionals across every major financial category - investment advisers, tax consultants and CAs, loan and debt advisers, insurance advisers, mutual fund distributors, retirement and estate planners, and other licensed specialists - each holding the registration or license appropriate to their own category. PFS does not advise, recommend, or act on their behalf. PFS output is financial literacy education only.
3
No specific product recommendation.
PFS identifies investment categories only — never specific mutual funds, stocks, bonds, or insurance policies.
4
No return guarantees.
All historical figures are weighted aggregate index data. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Investments carry risk of capital loss.
5
Your data stays with Quant Finance Lab.
Never shared with any third party, partner, or API integrator. Name, email, and phone are collected only when you choose to save your PFS. Quant Finance Lab does not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third party - advertisers, brokers, data providers, or API integration partners - ever. This applies regardless of any commercial arrangement. If you choose to connect with an adviser through PFS, your anonymised financial picture - with no name, phone, or email - is shared only with that specific adviser so they can decide whether to accept your request. Your identity and contact details are only exchanged if and when both parties explicitly agree to share them inside the conversation. The adviser is an independent professional - not QFL.
6
Your responsibility.
All decisions based on PFS output are solely the user's responsibility. Quant Finance Lab accepts no liability for investment outcomes.

What the PFS uncovers
Personal Financial Stage
What the PFS uncovers
“Read the whole report before writing this. I earn ₹95,000 a month, no kids yet, thought I had it figured out with two SIPs and a PPF. The Financial Snapshot page put my real Surplus Rate at 34% — ₹8,200 a month I could actually invest. I had guessed ₹22,000 in my head. Where did the rest go? Apparently everywhere. Humbling first page.”

📈 Surplus reality check
“Genuinely surprised, writing this after reading all 19 pages. I'm hesitant to try any financial tool because every time I do, someone calls within 24 hours trying to sell me something. My report came back with my Financial Snapshot, Risk Profile, and a full Monthly Surplus Allocation across six buckets — Safety Net First down to Protection — and nobody called. Nobody emailed anything I hadn't asked for. That alone made me trust the numbers on the page.”

🔒 No calls. No follow-ups.
“Filling this out took 12 minutes, reading the report took closer to 40. Worth it. My income swings from ₹40,000 to ₹1.4 lakh a month depending on projects, and every calculator I've tried before just averages it and moves on. PFS asked for each source separately, then built my Emergency Target and every Education Map road around my worst month, not my best. First tool that actually fit a freelancer.”

🌟 Works for irregular income
“I support four people on one salary of ₹62,000 — home loan EMI, my father's medical bills, my younger sister's college fees. Every tool I've tried before basically told me to stop dreaming. PFS listed all three as real obligations under Situation & Risk Profile, worked out what was genuinely left, and still gave me a Priority Sequence with actual numbers. Even ₹5,000 a month, it turns out, has a structure.”

⚖️ Multiple real obligations handled
“Sat with the full report for a good hour before I connected with anyone. I've met financial advisers before, and the first meeting is always the same: tell me about yourself, what do you earn, what are your goals. Slow. This time the adviser could already see my finished report — Financial Snapshot, Risk Profile, Goals & Priority Sequence — before we ever spoke. First call was 20 minutes and we were already discussing specific instruments. That efficiency genuinely surprised me.”

“I run a private clinic and take home close to ₹3.5 lakh a month, so I assumed my Financial Snapshot would just confirm I was doing fine. It didn't. 58% of my net income was going to fixed outflows I'd never once added up together — clinic loan, car EMI, my two kids' school fees, term insurance, maid salary. The Foundation Road came back flagged Critical because I had zero emergency reserve. High income, it turns out, is not the same thing as being financially healthy.”

🏥 High earner, hidden gap found
“46 years old, no retirement savings to speak of, and I've been telling myself 'next year' since I was 38. Didn't expect a free tool to actually put a number on procrastination. The Legacy Road section showed what I'd need to invest monthly starting now versus what I would have needed at 38 — a difference of ₹34,000 a month. Not a comfortable page to read. Necessary though.”

⌛ Cost of delay made visible
“We each filled this out separately, on purpose, without showing each other, then read both reports over dinner. His Risk Profile came back Aggressive, mine Conservative. His Priority Sequence led with Legacy Road, mine with Home Ownership and Protection. Six years of investing together and we'd never actually said any of this out loud. Uncomfortable dinner. Better plan afterward.”

💑 Couple with opposite risk profiles
“My CA handles GST and the books, I figured that covered me. It doesn't, apparently. Turns out I'd never once separated business cash flow from personal finance in my own head. When I entered only my actual personal draw and my real household obligations, my Investable Surplus was nowhere near what I imagined it to be. Eye-opening and a little embarrassing for someone who runs a 40-crore business.”

💼 Business vs personal money separated
“Divorced last year, restarted completely at 37 on a teacher's salary of ₹41,000, one daughter to raise alone. Every adviser I approached either felt salesy or had no idea how to talk to someone starting over without a joint household. This didn't judge, it just asked what I actually had and mapped a Priority Sequence from there. Reading the report, I had more surplus room than I gave myself credit for. Small thing on paper. Mattered a lot that week.”

What advisers noticed
“I have been in this field for more than a decade. I can barely remember anything like this. I had spent on ads, visibility, and leads separately, and after that the real work still started: finding prospects, follow-up, discovery and closing. The cost piles up, but I had never measured all of that together. What surprised me about PFS was the different philosophy. It is not asking me to buy more visibility. It is trying to make the beginning of the relationship more useful. For me, that feels much closer to long-term business.”

📈 The cost was bigger than I thought
“One of my clients came to me with an 18-page PFS assessment. I had never heard of PFS, so I started asking more questions about PFS than about the client. Then I looked at the report again. His numbers, goals and risk profile were already in front of me. I could have started the useful part of the conversation much earlier. It made me wonder how much of my own discovery time I spend collecting information that could have been structured before the meeting.”
B

⏱ The conversation started higher
“My first reaction was simple: they are trying to do business from my own audience. Then I thought about it properly. If my audience was truly exclusive to me, I would probably be getting much more business from it already. I even looked for a sales team because I wanted someone to explain the model. There was no sales team to call. I went back to the FAQs and plans instead. That actually told me more than a sales call probably would have.”

💬 The missing sales call was useful
“It took me a little time to understand the directory. I created a user account first and checked it again later because I wanted to see whether the reshuffling was real. It showed me different adviser information. I also noticed the profile had much more than a name and phone number, including an introduction video. The part that stayed with me was that someone can choose me and I can still decline if I do not think I am the right person. I did not expect that much freedom on both sides.”

🎯 Choice works both ways
“I kept comparing this with social media because that is where most of us already spend time building an audience. Then I realised the two are doing different jobs. Social media helps people notice me. PFS can tell someone where they stand financially and then let them decide whether they want professional help. I do not need PFS to replace my audience. I need it to make the beginning of a serious conversation less random.”

📱 Social reach and PFS serve different jobs
“The question I wanted answered was whether PFS would actually bring clients. The answer was refreshingly uncomfortable: they would not guarantee it. I am used to hearing about reach, enquiries and conversion, so I expected a number somewhere. Instead the model was clear about what PFS controls and what it does not. A person chooses the adviser. I decide whether I can serve them. That felt more credible than a conversion promise.”
F
Illustrative adviser 6
Fee-only planner, 11 years
🔒 No conversion promise
“At first I thought three years was too long. If a pack lasts that long, why would I feel any reason to use it now? Then I understood the other side. My clients do not appear on a timetable just because I bought a plan. An Intake Link can remain part of my normal practice instead of becoming another monthly target. I would rather buy an opportunity I can actually use when the relationship needs it than keep paying just to keep something active.”
G

⌛ Three years makes more sense now
“I already had a CRM and almost stopped there. I thought adopting PFS would mean changing the way I run the rest of my practice. Going through the information properly changed that assumption. PFS can start the relationship with a structured assessment, and after that I can continue with the tools and process I already use. That boundary mattered to me more than another dashboard ever could.”

📊 PFS does not replace my practice
“What I liked was the point at which my contact details stay hidden. If someone sends me a request, I can first see the anonymous financial picture and decide whether the situation is something I can genuinely help with. I am not being handed a phone number and told to chase it. And if I decline, the request does not become a penalty. That is a surprisingly different way to think about professional time.”
I

🔒 I can decide before I engage
“I expected the usual marketplace logic: pay more, get more visibility, move higher. PFS does almost the opposite. The directory can shuffle, there is no paid top position, and the person looking for help chooses who to approach. At first I wondered where the business incentive was. Then I realised the incentive is much simpler. If the starting point is useful, an adviser has a reason to keep using the system. I found that much more interesting than buying a better position.”

Before you list - one required step
Every adviser on PFS completes the same PFS assessment that users complete first - not to qualify, but to understand exactly what their clients experience before reaching them. Takes a few minutes.

List Your Practice
PFS Adviser Network · Free to list
The users coming to you through PFS have already done the work you normally spend an average 30 min doing.
Their surplus is mapped. Their goals are listed and prioritised. Their risk profile is assessed from both financial capacity and behavioural response. You start at the conversation that actually matters. Not the data collection before it.
How it works
1
Submit your details. PFS verifies your professional registration and puts your profile live - usually within 5 business days.
2
PFS users browse your full profile - credentials, fee structure, specialisation, and ratings - freely. No time limit. No cost to appear.
3
A user chooses to connect - entirely their decision, never prompted by PFS. You receive their Profile Snapshot - surplus, goals, risk profile - with no name, phone, or email. Declining costs nothing. Accepting costs one credit. You are never pressured to accept anyone.
4
A private in-app chat opens. Direct contact is only shared when both of you explicitly choose to. After the engagement, the user can leave a public rating on your profile, which they can update later if their experience changes.
PFS provides a private chat to help conversations begin. Once both parties mutually choose to share their contact details, they are free to continue outside PFS in whatever way works best for them.
🔒
You see their financial picture before you decide. They never see your contact details before you accept. No user data is shared without the user initiating the request. Every connection begins with full information on your side and full privacy on theirs - until both parties choose otherwise.
Your professional details
Not a SEBI-registered investment adviser? PFS lists every kind of regulated financial professional - estate planners, retirement planners, CFPs, and other financial planners belong under the last option, with their own registration type, not SEBI/AMFI. Users can browse and connect with any category, at their own choice - PFS does not favour or recommend one category over another.
SEBI RIA registry: sebi.gov.in · AMFI MFD registry: amfiindia.com · Paste the direct link to your entry. Users see this on your profile so they can verify independently.

About you
One thing to understand before you submit
Listing is free and has no time limit. When a user requests to connect with you, you see their full financial picture first. If you choose to accept, one credit is deducted from your balance. If you decline, no credit is used. You only pay when you actively choose to engage.
If your credit balance reaches zero, your profile stays fully visible. Users can still browse and read everything. Accepting new requests is simply paused until you top up. Existing conversations are not affected.
Credit packs are available in your dashboard after your listing goes live. No one from PFS will contact you about purchasing credits - you explore options yourself, on your own time. The listing itself costs nothing and has no time limit.
By submitting: (1) You confirm any professional registration you provide is valid, and hold a valid SEBI/AMFI registration if registering as an Investment Adviser. (2) All details - including fee structure - are accurate and complete. (3) No user data is ever shared without the user initiating the connection. (4) You can remove your listing any time by emailing reach.pfs@gmail.com.
